it the retail world, mid price balls is where it's at,
that is why i believe columbia, much like the other companies are offering so many new models.
and all of the mid priced balls from columbia in the past year have sold well,
i believe the jinx and the hi jinx are replacing the u-turns good move,
lot of confusion on the u-turn's many thought they were hook monster's, but they were not, more control backend balls. so the name change is a good thing.
if more companies would follow brunswick and let their high performance balls
last for more than a month or so, i believe they would actually increase their sales, the more people that saw the ultimate inferno it it's extremely long shelf time, bought it. it was still selling strong right up to the intro of the scorchin inferno. unlike track which seems to bring a ball out every day.
and by the end of the week, they are old and something new is coming out.
sometimes when we sell a track ball, it is allready dated by the time the customer leaves the shop. it seems that track does not trust their balls to let them stay on the market for a certain period of time, with track, new seems to be the word of the day. i would say that we probably had 10 new track balls to the ultimate inferno. and the ultimate was a huge seller!!!!!
now they have the machine, strike machine, mean machine, etc etc etc,
still brunswick just has the scorchin inferno. even columbia has done a good job with the action line, they are still there!!!!!
