Title: C300 balls with symmetric cores
Post by: dougb on May 15, 2009, 03:03:23 AM
As I've posted on this forum before, I absolutely love my Rival.  I also do much better with symmetrical core balls, as I find them easier to control.  Of the current line-up of performance balls, what other C300 balls have symmetrical cores?

Thanks

All of them. Since the Ebonite merger, they have not made anything but symmetrical cores.

the Momentum Swing and the Power Swing are asymmetrical everything alse is symmetrical

For some reason they say asymmetrical on their cores. However, there is not a mass bias on any of their equipment. So I am assuming the mass bias has such a little affect on the core that it makes them technically symmetrical cores. If it had any affect on the ball a mass bias would be marked on the ball.

They don't have a marked mass bias as far as I know, so they are hardly to be considered asymmetrical.  The intermediate diff needs to be higher than 0.010 before it can seriously be considered asymmetric.

If you think about it, not one Columbia ball has a MB marking on them regardless of the core. Or when they are brought by Ebonite.

The Apogee was the last ball I can think of that had a marked MB

The Ten, though never officially released, shared roughly the same core.

Oops missed that one but this ball was so under the radar.

Drive, Over Drive, and Alter Ego all shared the same asymmetric core....it was marked by a small image of the core on the ball.
