CG location marker?

It's been a long time since I had a new Columbia ball. The CG used to be within the logo. I just got a new Benchmark ball and while I assume it is still located there, any indication, thereof on my ball, is vague at best and completely unmarked at worst.

I see the barest hint of a marking on center of the line coming out of the bottom of the the capital "C" and forming the underlining of the word, "Columbia".
Is that it, the CG marker?

It should be a small dot like any other. A pic would be helpful.  Whats the pin distance suppose to be?

That's kind of what bothered me a little. There is no coloration over an indentation, like I used to see. There is a very lightly colored, very tiny dot, almost a bump on that line I described. That is in the area where it should be (2-3" pin). It's in the basement in its box right now. A picture -- maybe tomorrow.

Use a scale and you can narrow it down. Sounds like it got marked in the writting is why.

Jeff... on almost every recent Ebonite International piece I can recall the CG is 180 degrees from the serial number engraving.  That might help, but in this situation I'm not 100% because the Benchmark does use the pre-Hopkinsville engraving style...

If you can't see it clearly then your options are very limited on how to find it.

I have recently got Columbia 300 balls with the cg being marked 2 different ways. 1 way that has been coming on balls that doesn't have the new C300 on it is this. It's marked by a circular stamp that looks like a hand and finger. They have gone away from this on newer balls though. They now mark it by a little prick mark into the cover. This has always been in The C300 area. You have to look close as it can easily be overlooked. I'm thinking it's usually been inside one of the 2 00's. I hope this is of help to you.......Anthony.

Sorry , but I didn't see that the benchmark was the ball in question. Look at the lines on the label. I'm thinking there is 3 lines below it. Mine was marked by a prick coming down off the line. It's going to be a small mark. Look for it in that area...... Anthony.
