Hi, I have an old black Chaos, I have bowled more than 1500 games on it. Its not sentimental reasons that are forcing me to hold onto rather financial. That being said, can i rejuvinate some life back into it, Im confused I guess one thing having the same ball for such a period of time is that u get use to its reaction... I guess I'm starting to wonder if I can get a more aggresive reaction with it if I were to get it rejuvinated (basically a complete tune up on the ball), or save up some spare dough for a new ball????
money is a bit tight here, so unsure of what to do??!!??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend a heavy duty resurfacing AND a trip through the Hook Again system. If your proshop is a good one with a knowledgable staff this should give that ball a new life.

It's kind of hard to read the lanes if you don't know their language...

thanks guys for your posts, I'll try resurfacing very soon..

Man... Its dead, let it go, I let mine go, just get a new ball for $100 that will hook five times as much...

O1kay, to be honest, I throw around 23-15, have a reasonable hook (cover anywhere between 20 plus boards), if anything being a leftie, and bowling where I do with the ball return so close to where I stand, I don't think I need anymore hook and being unable to move further right to throw left isn't an option. For me, I guess its a question of hitting power (carry-using 14lb Chaos) and the ball going a little longer perhaps before it hooks. Lanes seem to lightly dressed during league and throughtout day when I go and practice lanes seem dry...
Basically ball hooks easily, if anything a little too, I put a bit of hand into the release, so if anything my drama is whether to consider continuing with Chaos and Lane, yes possibly get it resurfaced, or, look for a mid priced ball suitable on light-medium oil (any advice on some balls u guys have used or are using much appreciated).. Very unsure!! I guess that as I slowly progress at bowling, I'm hopeing to do on the bat of using a couple of bowling balls, rather than looking for the next big hook in a box ball and the latest whizz bang gear.. Call me old fashioned, I don't know.
Love to read your thoughts.

Resurface then soak it in hot water and detergent

I was just saying that the hitting power of a Chaos with 1500 games on it would be inexistent, just get a new one there not expensive...

(sarcasm on)
What a tragedy.
Another senseless loss of life.
Another example of TEC death claims the life of a perfectly worthy bowling ball after only 1500 games.
I can only hope that you bail on Columbia after they've let you down with this product.
