Get a new ball...shoot an 800
« on: October 19, 2005, 12:40:28 AM »
I have been enjoying the recent set of reviews.

A great bowler gets em.  Tries em out and shoots a sanctioned 800 first day.

See I told you the if I just kept getting new stuff I'd shoot 800.

More new balls.!MOre new balls.!

Thank goodness they are just getting broke in!

Imagine what will happen when he gets a handle on them!

Have you gotten your new ball and shot a measly 800 yet.

Just wait till you get warmed up and work the problems out with the ball.

I've got a Formula but I bet if I get a U turn particle I should probably get an 800.  Even though core and coverstock are almost the same!

Of course there has not been an 800 in my house for 5 years on the left...but with my new ball....

Hi LL... sounds like a struggle, eh?  Hang in there.

This is my first post of the season... actually, the first since like last April. I have the opposite problem as you. First game 250s to 270s, then a decent 2nd game then close with 180 to 200 due to transition. If they break down sooner, I've been doing the 250 180 210 dance as well. Very frustrating.

Now that it's getting colder up here I expect more dry conditions. The Backyard Bully is still too much, even with a label drill. I need to find the right ball so I can shoot 800 first time out too!

LL, guess I am guilty also. I drilled my Overtime on Friday, threw 1 practive game with it, put it away and came bacl on Monday and shoot 247 with 3 ringing 10's, 290 with another ringing 10 in 1st frame, and 264 with front 9 before I hung the ball on my thumb and left a 1,2,4,10. Just covered the 1,2,4, for an 801 or it could've been in the 830's. Not bad for a  1st set out of it with 20 in a row.

If the average isn't 300, then keep practicing and be humble!!
