Columbia 300 EPX A1
« on: September 29, 2014, 11:59:35 PM »
I have a new 15 lbs Columbia 300 EPX A1 that I got a while ago to use for my heavy oil ball.  I'm not sure if this ball is going to be any stronger than today's newer stuff. Right now I have a Marvel-S with a low RG drill and sanded for my heavy oil ball. I also have a pin up Ransom Demand that is sanded to 1000 abralon.  Is it worth drilling up the EPX?  Will it give me a different look that I'm not going to get from my Marvel-S or Ransom Demand?

Stronger? In what way? Different look? Absolutely! The Epoxy balls were known for early rolling which equates to smooth arc going down the lane, no hockey stick reaction. Ball was great when used what it was meant for (and did not crack).
