Well, it is like this: I am looking for a ball to cover medium-heavy to heavy conditions (not flood as I usually don't see this kind of condition). I researched here at ballreviews.com and think the Columbia Action is a good choice.

My question for all Columbia guys who own this ball is about the durability of the coverstock. I bowl four to five days a week and would not like a ball that dies too soon. If the Action has this problem, which ball would be a better option?

I think cover longevity is directly related to your maintenance regimen.  Anything designed to hook in oil (and the appropriate surface preparation to allow this) has a tendency to pick up lots of oil, dirt, belt marks, etc.  I will go out on a limb and say ALL modern bowling balls requires maintenance to perform at an optimal level.  This includes wiping the oil from the ball surface between shots, thoroughly cleaning the ball surface immediately following use with an approved cleaner, occasionally having the cover adjusted back to desired prep, and possibly even having oil removed using the approved method (in Columbia's case, the CPR compound system) after the recommended number of games.  If these steps are followed, any ball can have a long life expectancy...   I truly believe (and have witnessed it myself with teammates) that loss of reaction is a direct result of poor (or in many cases NO) maintenance.  Sure, it may be a hassle or expensive, but in the long run its cost effective as it extends equipment life and provides the best possible ball reaction.
