Columbia Booth at Nationals
« on: June 12, 2006, 03:59:37 AM »
Will the booth at nationals have any of the new line like the Wrath or Jinx?  Going in a couple of weeks and would like to purchase one of these if they have them.  Thanks.

Looks like they used the Chaos core again.  Anyone had a chance to try the ball yet?

Why not drive up to San Antonio and take the factory tour and buy one there?

Warths seem to have the old Choas core.  From all the balls Columbia has they seem to use old cores over, over, over again. I'm sure they adjust the spec number from time to time.  Guess as long as the balls perform why not.

Wrath core's are the same as Ti Boss II core's and yes we do reuse some core's but on launch them in mid performance just like all the other company's do.

If you want to take the tour and your coming down down to bowl after the listed dates.  I'm sure we can schedule a tour.  I can help if you want.

I can attest to the guy at the Columbia booth being a 1st class jerk as he was very rude when my wife tried to talk to him about buying an Action. Brunswick however, was just as bad. Trey, if you had said something, we had enough BallReviewers there to take em out....lol.

Never went into any booths other then brunswick/storm when I went down to get a ball drilled back in april but I like the Brunswick booth. Had no problems with anyone in it, even went back to it because of how profesional and nice they were from when I used em at Baton Rouge. I know the Brunswick booth is ran by http://www.nationalbowlingstore.com, is how I got ahold of the same guy I used last year and arranged to get a ball drilled this year. I dunno who works/runs the storm booth, I only went in to get a shirt for a friend who asked me to pick them up one and after being the only customer in the booth for 5+ minutes THINKING maybe a worker would ask if I needed any help I finally had to interupt there conversation which only resulted in a "no" to my question and promptly returned to there conversation. Look for Andy at the Brunswick booth he's a pretty friendly person and does a damn good job drilling.

I have been by the Columbia booth several times and he has been pleasantly rude (oxymoron...ha ha).  He gave me the impression if I was not there to make a sale that I should not even bother wasting his time.  HOWEVER....everytime I have gone by the Visionary booth, those guys there are a class act.  I go every year and swing by to say hello to Frankie and Cecil as well as make a sale there as I have bought a couple balls from them.

John D is working for K & K Bowling supply in Las Vegas. I don't believe he is doing the Columbia booth because K &K opened a second pro shop in Green Valley and he's the full time manager there. I'll call Phil Platko tommorow to find out.

But on another note Johnny D is a very nice, professional person and I can't believe he would treat a customer that way.
