Columbia drive. WOW what a ball.
« on: March 20, 2006, 11:07:05 PM »
Ok this thing is awsome. It hits hard. It carrys alot. The core/cover selection for this ball was perfect. Great for the lighter oil shots. Best ball to play down and in with on a THS. This ball is by far one of my fav columbia balls. It is just a shame more people didnt try it. If you get a change try it and its counterpart the overdrive. They made a perfect three ball line up with this core. You can keep the same core and have diff covers. The alter ego will be your heavy oil ball, the overdrive will be your mid/heavy oil ball, the drive is the mid/light oil ball. These three balls are great. I feel that if they made a Urathane ball with this core and made it a pearl type they would have probly the most awsome dry lane ball.

I find the core awesome...the coverstock strong!

I brought four of them so cheap it was unbelievable with the intent of learning a lot about mass bias coverstocks...with four different drillings I have.

I'm currently using the Morich Sahara as it's coverstock is a little cleaner on our very spotty lane conditions.

I have thrown some great games with my drives!!!  On normally oiled 40 foot shots I believe I could kill all day!  Big hit...great great core movement!

These are unsung balls that were fantastic!

PS very similar to say a Triple X from Storm maybe a little more direct because of less flare!!
