So i have this ball in my closet...my brother used it like for 15 games and he gaved it to me...i had issues about redrill this one because a lot of friends told me that this ball its great like for 5 games and then the ball soak up so much oil that the reaction is dead.
I need it to heavy oil conditions....what advice can u guys tell...is it worth the try or not? anybody knows how this ball compares to the resurgence?
thanks a lot
jonah
I already have a storm second dimension, and a hy road...i need this ball to be above this two

Keep it from extreme temp changes and it will be a great ball, they crack left and right the plasticizers leaks out at 98 degrees. Put your hand on the ball for a minute if you doubt me, that residue left when you do this is not oil.

By far the best ball I've ever had. Makes the Resurgence look like a White Dot on heavy oil in my opinion and I had both. The EPX has a very strong and early arc and hits like crazy once it reaches the pocket. It does soak up alot of oil but like many heavy oil balls that hooks early it's going to burn out once the lanes starts to open up. Had a hard time finding a replacement for heavy oil after I gave mine to my nephew.
Hot water bath is the best way to clean it but don't do it in boiling water or anything too hot. I know that in the past the first batch has issues with them cracking and mine did show some little cracks after about 100 games but it was more from bathing it in boiling water. I say go for it!

Well agreed with everyone that is one my favorite Columbia balls I have ever had. It worked amazing. I have never had a oiler like that before or since makes everything else look...pathetic.
I was very sad when it cracked on my I had about 100 games on it.

Great ball if kept clean. I agree with others hot water bath every 20 games or so. It will hook on anything and not quit.

thanks people...and what about the surface and the layout? i have 430 rpm and throw 17 mph...my pap is 3 3/8

surface is a matte finish and from what I have tried is very very hard to really adjust. If you try to use water when sanding the cover basically melts due to the epoxy resin used. The only success I have had in altering the surface was using dry abralon lightly going over the surface.
