Columbia Lit 🔥 and Lit pearl
« on: May 25, 2019, 04:52:59 AM »
Hi,

Could you guys share your experiences with these balls?

I found a good deal on the net, before purchasing I’d need some advice.

I’m a stroker, low rev rate, speed 15 m/hr, average league bowler and sometimes happen to play sport/challenge patterns.

How do you think about its coverstock, maintenance, réaction & all.

Thanks for your help.

I own both balls.  The Lit Pearl is very clean through the fronts with moderate angularity off the spot and with good carry. The Lit (Solid) is smoother than the pearl and with less angularity, which is typical for a solid when compared to its pearl companion.
Of the two balls, I prefer the Lit Solid due to my higher speed, so I might not be the best person to compare them for you, given the big differences between us in ball speeds. The Lit Solid provides me with good traction in the oil in its box finish whereas the Lit Pearl will sometimes skate past the break point if I get just a tad TOO fast with it. For another comparison, my Columbia Tyrant Pearl is stronger and a bit more angular than the Lit Pearl, so it is often my first choice out of those two balls.

In addition, both Lits take coverstock adjustments very well, whether you are using Abralon pads or polish.
