the only ball i have is the backyard bully.
spare ball -blue dot
dry-med -?
med-light oil -backyard bully
light oil-heavy oil-?
any suggestion?
would like your input on ball selection

Just a heads up...

The EPX isn't a very good ball. Alot of bowlers in my area have owned one and they absolutly hate it. It'll work good for a few weeks but starts to loose it reaction, and if you resurface it, polish it, or whatever, it just becomes your next great spare ball.

Alot of the bowlers have found great success with the Action. It's very consistant and is probably the better ball that Columbia has made.

i think this is my stly of bowling. i'm a cranker with med ball speed with more than30 degrees of axis rotation and more than 15 degrees of axis tilt

I agree with the line up Cranking Inferno layed out. I would add the U-Turn Pearl inbetween the BYB and the Panic. I would drill the UTP the same way you described the Action.

how about this as my arsenal, in order from oily to dry:

Action - Heavy oil to oil
Backyard Bully - oil to Medium
Panic - Medium to dry
Blue Dot - Spare Ball

diep that looks fine for now, I would add the Power Drive Sanded above the BYB and the U-Turn Pearl below it. You have picked some nice pieces to start off with.

Hey you may really need to get a good partical ball for the heavy oil because there is that heavy oil that a great heavy oil reactive ball like the action cant handle and will just skid on. So look into somthing like the Track rule gp2. I love columbia but they have not make a really great partical ball sence the ICON 300. So you should have at least one partical ball just in case. So this is what I think you shuld have.
Rule GP2- Flood
Action -Heavy
Action Packed - Mid/Heavy
BYB- Mid
Panic or a Messenger ti pearl- light/mid
Scout NOT SCOUT/R- dry
Blue Dot- Spare.

I think that would be a great arsenal. I love the action and would love to have one if I could afford it but remember that it is a reactive and there can be a thing as a flood that any reactive will just skid on, so you will need a strong partical to eat it and maybe dry it up some. Have fun.

I think it would work good for that condition. It was a very underestemated ball. It had a great core and a proven cover. So if you want to try it. Have fun.
