Be careful Duke. There were two of the original Spirit: a good black one and not so good blue one .... Blue is prettier but - I'll let you find out.

Duke is it NIB?  BTW, I remember it the other way around.  The black one had a so so cover and the blue pearly one was a pretty good ball.  Columbia was donating proceeds to 9/11 families or Red Cross as I believe and the covers varied greatly.

I do have a use for a 15lber if it is NIB.  Let me know!

could be the Blue. My memory is not what it used to be. Was trying to check some old emails for corroboration - not successful. Still inclined towards the black.

Let's see how Duke's ball reacts for him.

Friend of mine has the black one.  Pretty weak reactive cover, but works fine when they dry out.

I don't remember the blue one, but they did have a SPIRIT II that was a pearly looking purple.

their were 2 versions

i still have 4 nib in the basement

still believe for the money, may have been the best ball ever to come out. I drilled over 20 of them for people and most loved them

i liked the blacker version(it was almost a pearl black swirl to it)

the lighter colered one, blue wasnt as good
BUT
i drilled one for my buddy and he avg 238 for a season with it and won over 8 grand

so

they bith can be good

Columbia SPIRIT (I had both BLACK and BLUE) .. at the time it was the best ball around for it's price. Think I paid $50
