Perfect Rival - is it a heavy oil ball
« on: March 11, 2009, 07:49:36 AM »
Just what the subject says. Was wondering if it could be a heavy oil ball? And if it could what surface should it be?

If it has the Rival midlane like everyone says then sure. Take it down to 1000 abralon or less and it should handle a good amount of oil. But it all depends on your style characteristics and what line you intend to play...

Definitely more of a medium oil ball.  Surface adjust could make it somewhat usefull in heavier oil but wouldn't be your best option.  In the columbia line the Power Swing is great for a bit heavier volume.  If your going to give the perfect a try, put it at 500 abralon.

THIS BALL FOR ME IS GREAT IN HEAVEY OIL AT 2000 ABRALON WITH NO POLISH. IT IS DRILLED PIN JUST ABOVE RING FINGER. MY C300 NOIZE IS ACTUALLY A LITTLE MORE AGGRESSIVE IN THE OIL AT 1000 ABRALON WITH NO POLISH. THE NOIZE IS DRILLED PIN JUST UNDER RING FINGER. BOTH OF THESE BALLS ARE FANTASTIC.

i to can use mine on heavier  and longer oil...mine is still OOB but i can imagine at 1000 it could handle real heavy.. mine is pin up at 5.5 inches from pap...mine rolls like my cell with more backend...

Thanks everyone who answered my question for me. I picked one up on here and I was deciding on what to use it for. As far as what line I was going to play, I figured that I would start at first arrow and play down and in. I have trouble sometimes controlling my speed but I am getting better at it.

I am doing a tourney that the lanes are flooded so that is the reason that I was going to play 1st arrow. But I can change up once I actually get to the lanes and see how much oil there is.
