Does anybody here bowl with all Columbia? If so, what ball/layout/surface are you using on what conditions?

I bhave been bowling with all Columbia for about 3 months, of course the season is over now. I have a Noize (with pin below fingers, 1000 abralon no polish) for the medium to heavy stuff and then when the lanes get burned up or there is a lighter oil I have a Perfect rival (drilled pin above fingers, 2000 abralon polished)so I can get deeper and the ball turns the corner well and carries well too. Great one-two punch.

I have been using all C300 for about the same amount of time as mrnattyboh. I have 4 Power Swings as i find this ball to be my most versatile that c300 makes. The weight block specs rg 2.51 - diff .051  really match my game and most peoples games well. I have them drilled with different pin distances. The 5 inch pin from pap i left box finish, it gives me great length and recovery. i have one with a 4' pin to be a little earlier but not to much where i have to move my feet, also box finish. I have one with a 2.5 inch pin and one that has the pin on my axis both of these balls have the cgs kicked past my val with large holes pitched an inch and a half away to add diff. Every time I have ever put pins that close to my pap i lost carry and then Ron Hickland directed me to this drilling and its great. The one that is 2.5 off axis I polished to be clean and still controllable with power. These drillings are great for lighter and shorter patterns when you need the ball to carry and have control. This has fixed a lot of the problems i had with the covers being so strong. Now that is an advantage to me when it used to be a disadvantage on shorter patterns. I also have a loud noize drilled 4' with cg kicked and low hole great for later when the lanes are drier and i need the ball to retain energy and turn the corner but my cool noize outperforms that ball by about 4 - 5 boards. That cool noize is the real deal, i could see me drilling up 2 more!!! Hope this helps

ive been using pretty much all columbia all of the 08-09 season. i have the rival as my benchmark, arch rival for a little added length and so i can move deeper, a dead flush for wen it starts to break down and a jazz/scout for the toast. i just recently picked up a noize which i drilled the same as my rival that is a great go to as soon as the rival gets a little jumpy

the only other balls i will use right now besides columbia are vibes. i have a blue one now that is great.

on sport though i have included a vapor zone and sauce. i dont really see enough oil to use any of the stronger stuff like momentum swing/resurgence/powerswing
