Lynda is hooking the the Cool Noize more than the Full Swing. I think there is some oil pattern magic coming into play here.

She had less angle through the front of the lane keeping the full swing in the oil much longer than the cool. if you get the swing to the dry that fast it would have been through the nose

Why doesn't Columbia just have the man Barnes just throw the Full Swing and Cool NoiZe?
Duh..

Every ball company when they make a video usually post a video on what 95% of the country only bowl on, wall shots. And what is so bad about Lynda throwing these balls , last time i checked she can play!! Just because shes not a man you are discrediting the performance of the ball when it hooks saying oh that shots dry on the back, well no kidding most fresh house shots are! You guys are just hating because columbia looks like they have some stuff coming out that might be good and you guys are afraid, since you guys are hardcore lane 1 and morich guys i wouldnt expect anything less since your products(lane 1 stuff atleast now) cant even stay product registered hows that diamnod core working out for you guys, lol The only one on here with half a brain was bluerrpilot noticing how the ball got through the front.

theres another video of a guy throwing a full swing below on the forum, he looks like he has some revs
-
Lynda does have game. I can easily give her that, and just as easily say she can beat me any day.
All I'm trying to say is a few things. If more league bowlers buy a ball based on a video, why not have a guy with powerhouse revs/hook (Chris Barnes) throw the ball to possibly help sales. I think by now, manufacturers know what produces sales.. Extreme flip in the backend, which Chris can easily create.
Hey, maybe I'm just looking at it from the wrong perspective. Maybe Columbia just wants to make a video to show ball reaction, not make sales.
Sorry if anyone takes what I said the wrong way. I didn't mean for it that way.

I think the videos were made to show a woman could cross boards with these balls. So, people would think: If she could that with the balls, it would be even stronger for me. However, IF the lanes were set up to allow her to swing to the 5 and bring it back, the power of the balls were not accurately presented. With this in mind, it is just advertising/marketing.
Nothing against Lynda, she can bowl. But she normally does not hook the ball like that. You can search youtube.com and see her in a bunch of other bowling videos.

Guys, I understand why you might think its marketing, smoke and mirrors whatever, but this ball has a great move on the backend, hard yet controllable. This cover with this core is the best combination in this line by far. As far as the Full Swing that ball is the best ball I have thrown in a long time, of course they want the ball to look good on the videos but i think you guys are looking into it far more then it is. They are good balls with new covers and the Full Swing is totally new. I made a video of this ball on saturday after heavy open play and 3 birthday parties and it still hooked hard in the backend. I think the ball will speak for itself when someone gives it a try.

Doesn't Lynda hold the record for the most consecutive strikes thrown on a TV broadcast? Yeah
-
That would actually be Carolyn Dorin-Ballard.
But anyways, let me get this straight. People won't buy a bowling ball until they see a bowler 100x better than them that throws it nothing like them throw the ball in a video?

so your telling me DP3 you have never been curious to see a video of a new ball?

Actually.......no. Not that I can remember. I'm a number/specs man, who's throwing it on what is useless if you don't know the intangibles.

The numbers and specs are very important but it does not tell you much about the cover, that is why videos are usefull.

I think the point Cliff is getting at is that the users don't jump on the other companies for having videos up on the house shots, yet on this one they are.
I'm indifferent and really do evaluation off of numbers and what the cover should do for reaction as I usually can't find someone that I can judge off of effectively to gauge what a ball would do for me.

nice response wannabee some people just dont know how to act!

I think this was a great video. Good marketing strategy, and excellent pills by the way!
I used to be a Columbia man. I have two older Columbia pieces with that core in them and two AMF pieces with that same core in them. All four pieces are absolute MONSTERS!
I pulled them out and was playing around with them, and kinda went "O Chit!" What do we have here, Margo!" The balls are very strong on the back.
( I first got these balls, very early in my bowling career)
It's good to see Columbia did their research, and is pushing balls that show off that power!
