I have the Smack Down, Take Down and Throw Down. The "mildest" of the three
(for me) is the Smack Down. The Take Down is longer and more angular than the Smack Down and Throw Down. On fresh, short-medium length, flatter conditions, the Smack Down usually gets the nod, because it is very smooth and predictable off the end of the pattern.
The Take Down gets through the fronts cleaner than the Smack Down and it is more angular at the breakpoint--- a good #2 ball once the lane starts to transition. It also allows me to get deeper, due to its increased angularity.
The Throw Down does not match up for me, despite numerous surface and drilling changes. It's too early and hits very soft for me. I am an "old -school" stroker, with an average rev rate of approx. 280, with avg. speed of 17.6 mph. One the other hand, I have seen a few high rev players have more success with the Throw Down than I have had.
