All I can say about this ball is wow! Just had mine drilled up Friday, and I used it Friday night and ssaturday night. I generally struggle with asymms not retaining energy and just burning up but this one doesn't. Thoroughly impressed with this piece.
As for what I saw from mine: Friday night, which has quite a bit more oil then Saturday night was perfect for this ball I could continually just free wheel on the ball and do whatever I wanted and the ball would comeback from anywhere. Extremely clean through the fronts and mids and makes a nice angular move off the break.
Saturday night: A lot less oil plus bad timing issues resulted in a terrible read on the ball the few shots that everything fit nice together went great. One thing I will stress on the heavy handed power players don't get the ball to the friction too soon as this ball will not burn up and will overreact. Which in my own case was a blessing to see as most asymms (even pearl asymms) had the habit of burning up on me when hitting the dry to fast.
My layout has the pin above my middle finger with the cg slightly kicked and the mb just to the right of my thumb (right handed) got a nice angular move but also extremely controllable.
As far as asymms go this is by far my favorite one that I have thrown. It put my lucid to shame which was my previous favorite over the likes of hell raiser revenge ,brutal nightmare ,taboo ,taboo jet black ,vivid ,sync ,and all 4 defiant's. I truly enjoyed throwing this piece and it looks great going down the lane.
Shelf appeal: I really like bright colors in general so this ball was a big hit with me and really made a lot of heads turn. Pro shop operators keep this ball in stock as it will fly off the shelves due to performance and looks. I give it an A+ on shelf appeal.
Performance: This ball gave me exactly what I have been searching for in an asymmetrical piece for quite sometime. It gave me a ball that would retain energy and make an angular move but still have the controllable aspect of most asymms. That being said do not hit the dry too fast because of how well it retains energy it will overreact and jump quite a bit! Pin carry with this ball was quite interesting. I didn't have trouble carrying with the ball but I did send messengers at a much higher rate then normal it seemed like every pocket hit sent one flying even when it wasn't needed!
All in all its a great piece and really looks to give Columbia 300 that wow factor. I have no doubt you will see plenty of these going down the lanes at every house very soon!
