oob for Rival?

What is the out of box grit on the Rival? what is the best way to get the ball back to oob? right now i have it polished with storm xtra shine.

Columbia website says that the Rival is at 4000 abralon.

My guess is to get it back to OOB...do a 4-sided sanding with Abralon pads starting with 500, then 1000, then 2000, and finish with 4000.

Rival is 4000 Abralon, I'm not sure you need to start all the way down @ 500 just to take the polish off, you probably could hit it with 2000 and then 4000 on a spinner on 4 sides to bring it back.

I think it would depend on how "polished" it is.  If its lightly polished, then you could probably get away with starting at 2000.  If its highly polished, best bet is to begin from the beginning and start at 500 and work your way up to 4000 grit.
