If you're bowling on a 41 foot pattern, are you sure you're not just hitting carrydown, and the dull full throttle just doesnt store enough to corner on the backend.....I had issues with the same thing bowling on a 43 foot pattern with a box Ultimate Inferno. When it starts to bleed to early, it wont corner, and the carrydown just makes it hit flat and look nasty. A quick switch to a shinier strong ball generally fixes that problem, but I'm not convinced a reactive full throttle truly "died" in every sense of the word. Combined with what strider said, it just makes sense to me that your ball encounters too much friction early, then doesnt store enough to turn the corner on the back.
