I'd guess that the SHock, the Panic (pearl resin with very little RG differential) and tHe Hyde (MAJOR control ball, VERY similar to the Pulse, with a little more hook) are 3 VERY different balls. Hyde (Super-Flex) and Shock (UFD, stronger Super-Flex) are solid resins.
My best guess.
Just because a ball has a core SIMILAR (but not identical to the next ball) does mean, by any stretch of the imagination, that ball #1 wil react anything close to ball #2, with a different coverstock.
COVERSTOCK OF 70% OF A BALL'S REACTION, IN GENERAL. Not 50%, not 30%, not 10, but 70%, IN GENERAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
