Is the Detour a solid or pearl? I am getting mix reviews from a lot of people. Has anyone thrown these two balls? Would they compliment each other or would they be similar?

I've been thinking of getting these two balls.

I don't have a Detour; Columbia's website says it's a solid, Super-FLex.

I'd bet it and the CT are too close to have both, without surface changes, as the CT's core is stronger than its specs indicate.

Primal Rage and Detour have the same coverstock: solid Super-Flex resin. Primal Rage

had low RG and high RG Differential cover. It was a major oiler in its day. Detour is mostly, if the reviews can be believed, for medium oil.

I wouldn't say that the Detour is a medium oil ball. It reacts on par with my Full Throttle, and that's rated as a heavy oil ball. I guess it depends on the conditions you're on, but once the Detour hits dry, man it flies.
