Out of box is it dull, or polished like the old Ti Messenger solid?

According to the specs: 600 grit, compounded (whatever that means, in actuality, to Columbia). I suspect 1000-1200 grit, matte finish.

I'd say the Detour is slightly polished. Definitely not dull.
