Difference between Wicked and Messenger Ti Pearl
« on: December 04, 2003, 07:45:05 PM »

I need a strong pearl ball and wonder if there is much difference between the
Wicked b/r/t and the Messenger Ti Pearl b/s/p?

I recently purchased an Ebonite Tornado and found it to be a very strong ball for the money.  I've also got the Hammer Blade, but use it for heaver conditions.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Wicked B/R/T is NOT a pearl. It is a solid resin.

The Messenger B/S/P is nicely strong pearl for medium-light to medium oil; it will handle more oil than the Tornado pearl.

Which Hammer Blade do yo uhave; there are at least 4 of them?

Charlest;

I've got the Blade reactive.  Its not a bad ball for some oil but I have a little problem when I have to move in deeper that the 20 board.

The Ebonite Tornado is a great ball for the money and reminds me of my old Cuda C pearl that finally just gave up.  I'm trying to build a new arsenal since I dropped to 14lb. equipment.  Having fairly slow ball speed, I get better results with pearls or shiny type balls.  With that in mind, I thought maybe the Wicked or the Messenger Ti pearl would be a good ball to fit in between the Tornado and the Blade.

What do you think?

If I may try to help, "thedjs" you may want to even think about purchasing the Messenger Ti Traction over the B/S/P.  My reasoning is , having thrown them both, I think if you take the Ti-Traction and lay it out for you to roll like a 5x5 drilling then give it a good polish, it will clear the heads better than your Blade but be less susceptible to over/under like the tornado and possibly even the B/S/P messenger.  Just in my experience, I like solid balls with polish over pearls..... they can still clear the heads but give you a better midlane read, which is really where you'd rather have it, in my opinion.
