Drilling a Resurgence?
« on: December 20, 2008, 04:10:49 AM »
My wife is getting a Resurgence for Christmas and she doesn't know it yet. I was wondering how to drill it.

She is a high track player, has not much hand, and throws about 16-17 MPH. She needed this ball to create the roll for her.

So, how should I drill this? She flares over thumb if pinned down. Her only options are pin over bridge or pin right/up of ring. Basicall, the pin will have to be up, so where should I toss the CG or how far should I place the pin/cg from axis?

I was going to do a 3x4 to get the roll, or a 4x3 to get a little more midlane/backend...but I need help!

Thanks in advance!

I would go with a 4x4.  That'll give her the good hook and midlane you want for sure.

I had a 4 x 4 pin down ball it cracked in half, the replacement ball is 4 1/2 x 4 pin over ring. Honestly the Pin down ball started earlier and outhooked the pin up by ball by 5-6 boards the whole lane.

So I would try to go even with the ring or maybe pin in the ring drilled out if the tracking is a big issue. In my case I had to take down the surface to 2k abralon just to get closer to the same look.
