First Impressions of the Wired!
« on: April 16, 2005, 03:58:20 PM »
Remember when you first saw Tyson in the early part of his career when he was so scary!  You couldn't believe how short, and fast and devastating his punches were.  A quick short uppercut that would lift his much bigger opponents right up off the floor.  Not only were you scared for them but so were they!

That's the wired!

This color blem I picked up from Bean's with maybe a 1 inch pin out!  (I chose that) is so damn good looking.  Greenish aqua and gold, versus the pictured gold and versus other good looking ones I had seen with blue.  This is the best looking bowling ball I have ever seen.  How come this wasn't the color scheme?

This monster starts out revvin and revvin hard in the heads and midlane but has surprising length, then just like Tyson it seems to nearly jump out of it's socks at the pocket, short fully extended jump and blam, 10 flying in the trench all at once, it's bye bye time!

Is it the short pin out that gets it to make such a short aggressive move combined with the powerful UFD that I had on an Ego.  I don't know.
Drilled with the pin and cg up about 1/2 inch above the grip center line with pin and cg stacked in line under ring.  Fingerholes slightly deep.  The short pin chosen to hopefully reduce backend coverage on very bouncy wet dry backs.

This shot however a longer crowned blended and buffed shot that does not like balls that want to go long.  For example my great dynamic groove is dog of the day on this shot.

My Ego in comparison to the Wired is Evander Holyfield, still great but a little more loopy in motion unless he is headbuttin ya!  The Ego seems to rev less be skiddier and cover more boards at the back.  At least at over under oriented centers(no not tested at over under centers yet but will be within two days!)

While the two real sweet spots for this lengthier shot are the Throttle R and my Crunch.  The Throttle R is Lennox Lewis.  Long elegant punches that cover a lot of territory leaving him very safe but his opponent, the pins not so safe. Ker...blam on a blend!
The Throttle R can really bounce hard and long off a wet/dry wall.

There you have it!

Tyson in his prime, Buttyoufield, or Lennox Lewis.

Three good ones you make the call!

After today's testing at over under centers....Ditto.

Lots of rev up, medium oil only and then the short sharp Tyson to the chin of the pins!

Good by!

Hey I use the Icon on oily lanes too.  Very continuous hook drilled 4 1/2 X 4 1/2.

On these same oily lanes the Wired in box is a little too slippery!

One of the highest scoring users of the wired has his a little dulled up with like 700 or 1000 paper and leaves it dull!

He has had many a 300 and 800 with it!
