I kinda hope mine do "die" some because they are as strong, or stronger, than any balls I've owned. They make this life-long "stroker" look like a long-time "cranker"...these balls got some move on them...
Honestly, I've never had a ball "die" on me and I've never witnessed a ball "die" on anyone else. I have had a few that didn't "work" from the get go, but that's another story for another day. As I've posted before, the reason I think people say a ball has "died" is because they are using it on the wrong condition. A strong ball with a strong cover WILL NOT HOOK on a drier lane the same way a weaker ball will not hook in a flood.
If one takes care of his/her equipment with a little ball maintenance (cleaning) after each session, your ball should last for a long, long time.
