I know that part of the issue with the Phoenix being made by Ebonite is the Multi-piece core. Since there are interlocking pieces, this is a problem because it takes more assembly time when building the core, so I wonder if this technology will be disguarded with the move, along with the Ceramicore.

Why did Columbia stop using ceramic nuggets in their balls? Maybe it was psychological, but I really liked ceramic core balls because I thought they rolled through the pins better.

Yep early reports stated it was like better newer absolute inferno, the Track reps were marketing it that way.

Phil Cardinale has a patent for using a dense nugget in the center of the ball. Every time Columbia or Track uses one that have to pay Phil I would assume.

wasted talent, where do you get your information? I believe the ceramic cores used by C300 were started by Ron Wood. Maybe the Cuda C was the first, not sure. I heard whatever Phoenix in distributor's warehouses will be the only ones available.

Word is that the Phoenix is not going to be released other than what is already out there. The 10 is also not being released.
Ceramicore was first used in the Critical Mass from Track.

The Crital Mass, Code Red Critical Mass, Tremmor, And Blue Pirhana are some of my all time favorites. I know they wouldn't wrinkle on todays conditions, but I would love to see a modern core/cover using Ceramicore technology.

Someone posted a link to the patent a week or so ago. I believe that Ron Wood's name is listed in the patent but Phil is listed as the patent holder. I also believe the Critical Mass was the first ball to use the CeramiCore. Man did I love that ball.

Bowling ball with top weight and ceramic core
http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=22&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PTXT&s1=cardinale.INNM.&OS=IN/cardinale&RS=IN/cardinale
Here is the link incase anyone missed it. Phil, Ron and Ken are listed as the Inventors.
I'm done as far as Dyno/Track is concerned. I will either wait and see where Phil and Billy end up, or maybe it's time to try Banger? I WILL not support the Hacks over @ Hammer/Ebonite.
