Encounter Versus Taboo Pearl

Can someone please tell me what the differences are between these 2 balls?

As far as I can tell right now, the Encounter is a polished pearl for medium oil and the Taboo Blue/silver is a dull pearl intended for medium-heavy to heavy oil.
 
Possibly you can dull the Encounter for heavier oil or polish the Taboo for medium oilbut they're not marketed that way, so I have to assume they're not designed for that purpose.

They both are intended for medium/heavy the encounter will be lil earlier and more angular, the taboo pearl is very smooth with a nice arc they will give u different looks so cant go wrong with either one

The new Taboo is not very smooth, that was the original Taboo.  The new one is cleaner with a much much sharper read at the breakpoint, and when compared to the Encounter, out of box, the Taboo Blue/Silver is the heavy oil ball where the Encounter will be more medium/heavy.
 
As a compliment to the World Beater, if given the option of those 2, it would be the Encounter, as it will handle the lanes as they break down and transition more.  The new Taboo would need a fair amount of shine for that.
 
As someone else said, the Eruption would be the more distinct compliment.
