I have an Enigma drilled 70 x 5 x 50 and had it at 3000 abralon. The ball seemed to lose a little of the early heavy rolling characteristics it is known for. So, I have since added a small weight hole in P3 just to help aid in that. With that said...........
If I took my Enigma to 3000 and added some polish to it, how close would it be to an Antics? I wanted something that was stronger than my Violent as far as oil volume handling, but more backend from deeper inside than the Enigma. So I am wondering if I should fill the gap there or just add some polish to the Enigma and go without a heavy roller for heavier conditions; which I rarely see.

Hi,
I only own the Enigma but have the Antics in order, but will not get it until August (live in europe) But i put the balls in Blueprint and the Antics at same drilling and surface is according to bluepring 6 bords stronger at the feet.

Thats crazy considering the strength of the Enigma.

Hmmm maybe some others will chime in here.. But I don't see that at all with my personal equipment. My enigma gets into a roll much sooner on the lane and a over all stronger ball than my Antics..
I treat my Antics kinda like a pearl enigma.. When im looking for that motion but later down lane its my go to ball.
I don't think polishing it would give you the look of the Antics.. I think the Enigma would probably still get into its roll sooner.
Just my .02 ;D

I appreciate the .02 Christina...LOL!!! I have a couple balls I am debating on at the moment. The Antics is one and just curious as the differences. Thanks again!

Sure anytime :)
If you like your Enigma I find the Antics to be a awesome compliment for when the Enigma starts to get a little to early or starts to roll out due to friction.

I would have to agree with Christina as my Antics really covers around the same amount of boards. Now the Enigma gets into its roll very early where as the Antics covers the boards more in the backend of the lane. Great ball to switch to once the heads are starting to dry up.

I have a high pin Enigma that's always had a later reaction than most of my other heavy oil equipment. I got to try out a demo Antics at a local seminar recently, and I found it to have a slightly earlier and more even reaction. I was alternating throws with the Enigma and Antics on the 45' Mexico City pattern. Chris Barnes was one of the instructors, and he confirmed what I was seeing after watching me throw several shots.
Maybe it was the respective drillings. Maybe the differences in surface. Maybe a longer sport pattern bringing out the true characteristics of the balls. Hard to say.
