How is your Action Packed rolling?
« on: February 27, 2006, 06:07:01 AM »
Action packed owners please answer these questions:

1. What drill pattern did you use?
2. What lane condition does it score best on?
3. What kind of length and back end reaction does it have?
4. How versitile is the ball?
5. How is the ball recovery when tugged or sent wide?

Mine is working well for a low flare drilling

Drill pattern is Pin next to middle finger with CG on positive side of center of grip
Turns out to be Pin to PAP 6 3/8 inches and CG to PAP 4 3/16 Inch
Heres a pic http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=2/5315433357.jpg&s=x402
It prob scores best on a dryer or outside line due to non agressive drilling
LOTS OF LENGTH, with a mild strong arc late down the lane
Not very versatile with this drilling, but with different hand positions i can make it work.
When tugged this ball will usually not return and skate 60 feen because of where i bown, theres oil in the middle. When throwing to the gutter (swung) i usually get back to pocked (depending on speed) but tend to leave lots of 10 pins.

1. Drilled Straight Up, Pin above bridge Cg in palm.

2. I have used it on a THS probably more on the heavy side of medium and so does my ball driller.

3.Wow, this ball is amazing it has crazy back end. With my layout it is drilled to go long and snap for the backend. It is getting easier and easier to get used to every tim i use it.

4.This ball is very versitile. I'm really impressed, Saturday morning i bowled i was playing 4th arrow with a big swing and even 5th arrow in the later games. The next day on Sunday I was playing up 10 for about a game and i was really really suprised i took my hand out of it and it reacted perfect. I was then back to about 3rd arrow. Shot real good scores and went to the finals in brackets but lost last game to a 95 a game Handicapper!! she shot 195 scratch. heh o well.

5. The ball recovery isn't to great when tugged but it has held pocket for me a few times. It usually misses enough to hit brooklyn but i do go through the nose if i get soft with it. I haven't really left that many splits with it i really like how it hits when missing the pocket other than other balls i own. When sent wide the THS usually brings it back i have got some great breaks though that I might not have got with a ball that didn't have as much backend as this ball.

Overall, a great ball by Columbia 300 this is my first C300 ball and i really like it and hope to shoot some great scores.

Drilled my Action Packed finally.

4 inch pin.. pin above bridge, cg kicked right to 4:30.. small weight hole.

It goes long, sets up well and makes a strong continuos arc to the pocket.. it recovers awsome on erant shots and holds the tug well.... Its the best ball I've thrown since my Inferno.. and I actually set my Inferno aside for this one.
