heard this is on the way
anybody got any info
-
Isn't the Eruption already a pearl??
-
I believe so, but this is supposed to be new
different cover, I hear that the EBI guys who tested it are raving about it
-
Funny, arent they supposed to rave about. They are staff members, trying to sell more balls for the company.
-
Eruption, violent eruption. ..thought they were pearls..hmmm?
-
I know Chris Barnes can't wait to get out of that contract with Columbia 300. I'd love to see him sign with DV8! That would be sweet!
-
Barnes leave Columbia? I doubt it, but who knows and he was a Brunswick staffer first. I don't think he'd go back to a Brunswick owned company and if he left he'd probably go with Storm/Roto Grip. Just my $.02, Bruce

How do you know he wants out?
-
Everyone knows that EBI covers are strong and they tend to struggle later in blocks when the heads go away or when there is friction up front
This new piece is supposed to be a step in the right direction to combat these issues
The main reason Storm/Roto is so successful right now is that they have the cover strength figured out.
Not because they have better staffers. These guys can throw any ball from anyone and make it look good.
Now, if the PBA could team up with Kegel, then then maybe the patterns wouldn't have so much friction up front.
Kegel does just about everything else on the planet, just not PBA
I dont think Kegel wants to pony up the required $$ to play with the PBA

im told its "Eruption Pro Pearl"
orange color
no numbers on it though
-
Ok, here is what i know
solid coverstock - no details on what specifically it is yet, looks like it has some kind of polish and a lower underlying grit (2000 + polish maybe?)
2.50 - .035 (or close to that)
resurgence core
"emergency orange" in color
little longer than disruption and smoother off the spot
for lighter volumes.
-
Somewhat related: I'm skeptical about Chris Barnes leaving C300. If he did, I could see him going to Track.
-
zero truth to any Barnes movement
I have no idea where these come from
