It is exactly the same Ball - just different color

I do have one of each of these, both drilled the same.  For me the Pro Black is about 1-2 boards stronger, with a little different shape down lane.  Basically a little cleaner in the middle of the lane, just a touch stronger off the dry, and a little stronger through the pins.  Very small differences but for sure, there are differences. 

Both are excellent balls though, as my Eruption Pro orange has been my go to league ball since it came out.

Comes from particle size of certain pigments. I was in the ink business and learned about it. And yes red is the hardest color to make and keep consistent because it has the largest particle size. This earlier read. Lol

I have both, but they're drilled different and it's hard to do a direct comparison.


But my sense is that the color on the EP's makes little if any perceptable difference in reaction. They both react strong off the spot when they sniff out friction. I wouldn't make reaction the deciding factor in picking which color to drill.
