The Hammer Doom is an incredible piece.  I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the Hammer mid priced equipment.  I have seen the Rival and it looks good.  If you're just looking for something for a Typical House Shot, pick the cheapest of the balls you're looking at and you will be fine.

Wrath SF is a great ball. guy was throwing it in a tournament this past sat. and it was pretty strong he had a ton of revs and speed and the ball moved very well. He was playing about the middle board out to the 5 or 6 board and it would come back really well. The hammer doom I have never seen this one thrown but I havn't heard anything bad about the ball.

explain yourself.
There are 3,000 balls out there. Every ball is a good ball for something.

The reason that the Wrath SF is on the retired ball list is because that ball was introduced before the buyout, it doesn't mean that it isn't a good ball. If you can find one go ahead and get it, but the Wrath High Flush also is an exceptional ball, and for generally the same amount of money, why not get the newest Wrath out there
