flare increaseing wt hole on the resurgence

would a flare increaseing wt. hole work on the resurgence core?I've tried all the cover adjustments to no improvements.I feel the reaction I'm looking for is almost there but lacks carry for me.

Are you sure you want this ball to flare more?  By doing so you might cause it to hit with even less energy since it has used up more energy as it flares.

I might be off base here though.  A flare increasing hole may not cause it to flare more, just separate the flare lines more.

if the ball hit flat then I would know what to do.the ball just seems to push to far.I would think the ball would pick up earlier then it dose but it dose'nt.I planned on useing this ball for longer mediums and for the most part the general reaction is there,just won't finish.the flare rings are prety tight as well.
if it's not a good idea then I'll knock it back down and use it for heavies or just sell it off.

you can just put a hole on the bottom size of the ball... that would make it flip a little harder.
Measure 6 3/4 from center and see if you're close to your track flares... if not put the hole like 7-7 1/2 from center... if you flare close, then drill the hole a little closer but pitch the hole.
The size of the hole will make a difference too... depending on static weights.

Continuing on with what Mr. Buffa had to say, you may want to drop the hole down a bit into the thumb quadrant. This will help in the flare missing the extra hole. But, you don't want to drop the hole too far because then you may end up with over 1oz. finger weight. =:^D

Hey Six, I've got the exact same problem with my Resurgence... If you find any success,please let me know. It's been a strange ball. I know it has what it takes, but I just can't get the reaction I think I should. It hits flat in general, never ever pounded the pins, and when I do carry, it's 10 on the deck, barely down. I'm averaging ok with it, but something's just not right.... Let me know what you find out please...

after talking it over with several people I've come to the conclusion that the ball is best as intended.the resurgence for me is a great ball for heavier pattern as it lets me play an inside shot more as opposed to playing up the boards.despite several cover changes the ball is not at it's best on anything other then heavier patterns for me.
