Full swing or Bounty hunter ???
« on: July 17, 2009, 12:58:36 AM »
So i am going to buy a new ball and i need it to be above my hy-road and my second dimension.
I need to replace the resurgence (i loved this ball),so i want something that could give me a similar look.
i heard good thing about these two balls to bowl on heavy oil lanes,i always prefer a rolly kind of reaction on heavy oil than a skid/snap one.
Right now i can only afford one, what do u guys reccomend me?
My a game is 400 Rpm with 17 mph
thanks a lot

If you want a strong rolling ball as with the Resurgence, your best option would be the Track 930T

I don't think either of these balls will be like the motion of a resurgence would say get a NoiZe or possibly a Power Swing, both of these balls will be closer to the motion you have with your resurgence. The power swing will be a little longer and stronger but not near as long and strong as the two your referring too. If that was what you wanted obviously I like the Full Swing even though its a different look then the resurgence it still has the great control you get with a C300 ball but with more backend.

Hey Jonah300,

Just read your post. Not sure if you have added a ball to your bag to replace you resurgence yet. But my suggestion would be taking a Power Swing and cutting the surface to 1000 grit. The reason for that is because the Resurgence is aggressive but is smooth and arcy. Now the Full swing like DanR said is really strong of the point. Which is true that ball really makes a strong motion and is very angular for being a heavy oil ball. Now taking the power swing down to a 1000 would help you get that early roll and smooth reaction. With your ball speed it would be ok as well. Although the full swing or bounty would be an ok choice for a heavy oil ball. I just think the Power Swing with surface cut down would be a better option for what you are looking for.

I think the full swing looks very smooth and moves well on multiple patterns might have to play with the surface to get it rolling exactly like you want.

Neither the Full Swing nor the Bounty Hunter are even remotely close to the ball path of the Resurgence, although they might be close in oil handling. The Resurgence was mostly of the old fashioned curve/arc type of ball path.

The Noize or the Bounty or the Maxx Zone or the Mega Friction would be closest to the Resurgence's type of ball path.

Of course, since asymmetric's offer a wode choice of drilling options, you could, conceivably, drill the Fluu Swing or the Bounty Hunter such that it will have a more arc-like reaction, but that defeats the purose behind the design of these balls.

I am going to drill the full swing and the epx on friday.
My main idea is to dril the epx to be a rolly reaction on heavy oil...and the full swing more of a backend reaction also on heavy oil...os i could have two differents looks.
Any advices on how to drill both will be aprecietted.
I am going to leave the full swing out of the box and the exp with 500 abralon
