The difference between the Full Throttle and Throttle is coverstocks. The Full Throttle is little bit more tamer than the original. Another difference is reactive and particle. With the RG slightly lowered the Full Throttle has more of a range for control while the Throttle is great for carry down and wet heads! I have all four Throttles. I like the series, yes it maybe the same ball and different coverstocks, but I am pleased with this series. You can see my review on the Full Throttle with the lay out as well. Full Throttle is not over agressive yet not all that tamed either! I recommend the Full Throttle to people who needs a reactive sanded coverstock for wet heads and controlled backends!
