« on: October 16, 2012, 09:30:28 AM »
I was wondering if you anyone can tell me what the difference was between the Cuda and the Super Cuda bowling balls?

Thanks!

The Cuda used Flexcel as the coverstock resin.
The SuperCuda used Super-Flex as the resin.

Original Cudas had a pink label, pink pin, and the cover was one of the original Flexcel reactive covers. Super Cudas had yellow labels, yellow pin,  and a beefed up version of Flexcel, Super Flex, which was much more aggressive. However, the cores are the same in the 4 balls and they still roll well on today's conditions, although for a medium volume pattern or a shorter pattern.

Super Cudas were a touch earlier and could handle a touch more oil. I really liked all 4 and still have 3 original solid Cudas today. Just used one that is plugged twice last week and shot well. Ball carries well and still hits well today, 17 years later.
