Ego- have I mentioned I like this ball? Oh UFD too!
« on: April 28, 2004, 08:57:41 PM »
This is the biggest secret in bowling.  If a nice midlane rev with lots of retained energy and incredible backend reaction and mix and carry is something you would like you have to try this ball!

It is incredible.

Last night a guy asked me if I'd had a 300, nope.  Practice.  Spare, 8 in a row and then almost kicked out 6 pin kept me from 290.

This ball is just the tits!  What a coverstock this UFD is!  Truly something better and unique on medium to a little dryer!

REgards,

PS if you liked the Reaction Rev motion you've got it again with more energy!
PPS UFD coverstock = Ultimate F.. Destruction!

Do you think it has more roll in oil than the wicked, because I am trying to buy one for medium light-to light to use as a second ball for mor dry lanes.or it has more hook than wicked?

According to Jeff Mop, there is a new ball coming out that will use the UFD and some form of the rock on core.

Wicked handles oil better I think medium to medium heavy for wicked.

Ego has the Reaction Rev core(great one itself) and is for medium to medium light!

Explosive, why wait for something better this is a best of big reaction lighter oil balls!

Man does it recover and hit!

Wired is great and is earlier! Same UFD

A little update on this ball.

I went yesterday and today to a center with synthetics.

Noted for a very harsh transition on the left!  Very harsh move around 10 board!

Anyway the Ego suffered this shot probably tougher than any ball I had(what do you expect with something called UFD on it!).
But the tremendous push, revving and hit makes one want to use it.
This alluring appeal had sucked me in a few times in league.
But then just the slightest softness of speed and the incredible reaction of UFD and I'd have a 6 strike 189 with two splits at key times.

NOW!

So a couple of nights I go in and can't shoot under 200.  I say to pro I"m cleaning up a little.  Hey I must be getting better.  He says, "NO, you're just bowling on 1 and 2.  When the lefties know they are bowling there they start buying drinks for the house"  Drat.

So I go in today and same thing.  Different pair and the super harsh transition seems to be gone.

However I look at the swirly Eg and note that it has gotten a little duller with use.  Starting to look like about a 1000 sand or a white scotch pad!  No polish.

Well I think that is interesting because I bowl with a guy around here I call Mr. 800!  He shoots a lot of em!  Also he uses a Wired which has this same hyper reactive UFD.  I have always noted his ball looked like 1000.

This seems to allow the ball to still push but have lots of recover and hit.
(But smoother than out of box condition(which is 600 with 2000 degree polish).

Should have hit with white scotch pad when I first got it!  To take out the over under!

WOW better than ever!
