1. DO you know what surface is on it now?
2. What ball is working for you on this condition, how is it drilled and is its surface different from stock?
3. Have you been using it for a year? If so, it could need an oil extraction. The last set of COlumbia coverstocks were pretty good oil absorbers. Still with your higher rev rate, it should be hooking some.
My BS (no jokes now) is drilled even stronger, with the pin below and I've tried several different surfaces. In general, it's too much ball for me to control I like less hook, but it's a wonderfully strong and strong hitting ball. So far it always hooks.
This is a strong pearl, that acts more like a lightly shined solid. It usually needs a good deal of oil, but then I don't have a lot of ball speed.
It came 4000 grit (pretty sure it was 4000 grit Abralon).
