Barnes and a Momentum
« on: January 27, 2008, 12:33:41 PM »
Does Chris Barnes only use the momentum? It seems like in every televised appearance he is throwing a momentum? Is this ball that good all around?

I was thinking this was the first time he was using the Momentum exclusively.

He has thrown the Momentum a couple weeks but it is usually that and the Rival. This was the first time it was just the Momentum.

Barnes has mostly used Rivals this year.  In Baltimore, he used a Rival on 1 lane and a Momentum on the other.  Last week he switched to the Momentum late in the match.  I can't believe he whiffed a 10 pin which cost him the match.

Barnes deserved better. IMO he threw the ball better. Haughen lost his reaction right off the bat. But you do have to give him credit that he did put the pressure on Barnes. He won and Barnes lost, end of the story. I'm sure sometime in the future they will be matched up again for a title.

Check out the "In The Bag" section on Columbia's website.  It lists the balls the players used, how they were drilled and preped, and why and when they used these balls.

Last year Barnes used the Big Shot almost exclusively on TV so him with on ball isn't surprising.
