Title: How does the Bully hold up.
Post by: thedjs on March 01, 2005, 05:49:01 AM

I just ordered a new Bully and then read three posts saying that the ball only lasted for a few months and then died.  Has anyone out there used this ball for any extended period of time?  What is your impression as to it holding up?

Thanks,

I've had two since august and they still work just fine. One has over 80 games on it and the other over 100.

Um i have had one since atleast nov or so, and i have just cleaned regularly and wet sand it every two weeks to 800 grit and then a little smear of Clean and Dull and the ball keeps holding up really well.

Anyone else have any input on the life of the Bully?

I had a big bully that died after about 30 games.  i never cleaned it or wiped off after shots.  I put it in the ebonite hook again and it was like new!!  I now try to wipe off after each shot and clean after every match.

I would suggest doing that to extend the life and if it starts losing pop, use hook again or columbia cpr.

Friend has one....I'd say it has well over 100 games by now, and it still works really well!  He doesn't clean as regularly as me and others (ie. every 3-6 games) but the ball is still holding up.
