Columbia ball maintenance
« on: January 31, 2006, 12:38:47 PM »
Anybody use Degree products?  Where do you buy them?  It seems that they're not as readily available as many other products.  Are they really better for Columbia equipment, considering the stuff has been around for years and Columbia's cover formulas have probably changed a number of times?  Been using Track cleaning stuff, but just thought I'd ask...

I had a proshop that used the Degree polishes.  I never liked them.  Maybe he over applied them (not likely), but to me they act like they clog up the ball's pores.  1200 grit made it react like the ball was waxed.

I have Degree polishes and use them all the time.
Haven't had any problems. I'v even used them on
(hold on now) BRUNSWICK balls without any problems.
The more I practice,the luckier I get.

The Degree stuff was strong. You could pretty much turn a reactive into plastic with Degree 5000.

Well I have found if you truly want to keep your Columbia ball in box condition
You need to use the same polish since there polish is a type of sandpaper.  You can find the Degree polishes listed under pro grip.  Available at most online shops or through your local one.
