Wired is wired in, 829, 809
« on: April 03, 2004, 11:24:01 AM »
I subbed on a league this week.

Had seen this heavy handed righties name in the paper on our team I subbed on.

I said to him, "man that 829 was pretty awesome, EH?"(that's canadian).
He said "That was fun then I had 809 later in the week".

He then proceeded to show me how this WIRED works in his hands.

Revs near around 400 or higher.  Speed about 18 mph.  This thing on an area shot with his speed is simply dynamite.  Stand left, hurl right, apply some revs and watch em fly!  This guy, this ball, and this heavily wet dry league condition are a match made in heaven!

I was impressed!  That UFD is really something!

REgards,

PS He was really off this night, I mean it, started with an open.  ONLY shot about 740!

Lucky....how would you compare this ball with the EGO? They both use the UDF coverstock. Which ball impresses you more?

Hmmm, because of the differences in our games it is hard to know.

This ball definetely revs earlier.  But his speed makes it work!!!
This ball Wired has the Victory SPT and Wow PEarl Core with a Ti Nugget(a great core.)

The EGO has a higher RG core and a great core also(Reaction Rev).  This ball goes a little longer and for me is a little more angular than his ball looked.

I was thinking of trying the WIRED to compare.  I would expect a little more roundness at the breakpoint.  Due to the very strong rev up in the heads and mids!

If one has trouble getting a ball down the lanes I'd get the ego, if one has plenty of speed the Wired looks great!  Also his is much better looking than the pictured Wired which is all yellow.  His is BLUE and Yellow.

A little update.  Bowled again in this league with big hand 829!

He struggled the first game and only shot 270!

He was throwing his usual line on the foul line at 20 over 16 at the arrows out and back.   He made it look like it was a Christmas tree pattern except it isn''t.

Then on the team a much smaller handed player came up and was alwo in this area on the lanes with his wired.  I call this ball change your 10 to 10 to a chrismas tree sort of shot.  The difference between the Ego and the Rev.  Is pointed out by the above.

Where the Ego is sort of a follow the oil line sort of ball.  The Wired allows one to wheel the lane as long as there is some dry to the outsides.  The low rg forces one to swing the Wired more than the Ego, and then  both have that extremely reactive UFD coverstock.

If I liked to create area from inside the Wired allows one to do it.  The ego does it maybe on broken down lanes.

The wired really makes it look again, like you are playing on a Chrismas tree while your opponents are stuck on an over under wet dry 10 to 10.
