What was the deal with this? Pulses and Rage series, I remember my Primal Rage had one and I thought it was cool looking. Any one with some insight,just out of curiosity?

They were supposed to aid hitting power i believe, and liked to lie in wait for drill bits that snuck a little too close!!!!!
