Almost everything I've read about the Detour has been positive. Is it really that good? Would it be a good replacement for a red Pulse or is it stronger?
Thanks for the help.

Much stonger and jumpier, the Pulse should be kept for flying lanes and the Detour is great for when you want a sharp angular backend. Very different balls.
Just bowled today in practice guy on right had his round smooth curving pulse I had my sharp flippin Detour. I was better as pattern started out long and then he got better.
Get it!

Definitely stronger and more angular than the Pulse. From my understanding, the Pulse was a great control ball. The Detour is definitely an aggressive ball that lets you play the inside line.

Is this a medium oil ball?

Sounds to me like the 2 balls would be too close. I am sure its a great ball!

I hear that this ball would be a good go to ball after a full throttle gets too strong. Is this true? i greatly hope it is, cuz i should be getting mine this week.

Well, Mr. Dabalos,
Having seen you throw on more than one occasion, the Detour would be a perfect compliment to your game. With your powerful, high-rev release, the Detour would crush the pins. Come to think of it, any ball in the current Columbia line-up would compliment your striking style.
