My Pure Swing is stronger than my Wild Thing. Pure Swing is drilled 4" pin to PAP, pin down and the Wild Thing is drilled 5 1/4" pin to PAP, pin above. Both at box surface. For me, I find the PS to have a lot more backend, but also find it able to handle more oil. Is this strange, or given the drillings, normal? For example, I stood on 25 today and shot around the 12 board out to about 7 with my Wild Thing. That's my normal line. I believe I either left a washout or a 2-10. Had to move 5 boards right and it still wasn't finishing. Switched to the PS and played my normal line and was dead in the pocket. My main question is, is it odd for my Pure Swing to be a step above my Wild Thing?

I don't think so.
I recently got to throw the Pure Swing after two of my teammates scored well with it at a tourny in Lebanon, PA.
The PS is deceivingly strong, and can handle quite a bit of oil. It is really dependent on the type of release you use, as to how versatile this ball will be for you. I am not surprised at all that it is stronger than the Wild Thing.

Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, but it still holds the universe together.
Some days you're the bug some days you're the windshield.

The difference your seeing is because of the PIN distance''s. On your Wild Thing the Pin is at 5 1/4" which is in the small/medium range. The PIN on your Pure Swing is at 4" which is in the strong range. On symmetrical balls (which both of those are) 3 3/8" PIN to PAP is the strongest and 6 1/4" PIN to PAP is the weakest.

I thought the Pure Swing was asymmetrical.

The Pure Swing is not symmetrical, so the observation you had would have more to do with the type of roll a 4 inch pin to pap creates on an asymetrical core as opposed a symmetrical one.
A 4 inch pin to PAP on an asymmetrical core ball would give you good mid-late hook, where as the 5 1/2 inch pin on the Wild Thing puts the ball for max flare just at the end of the pattern. Just looking at this the Pure Swing Should hook more overall, but the Wild Thing is probably stronger down lane.
What is the drilling angle? Val Angle? What are your specs (Revs, Speed, Tilt, Axis Rotation)?

It's not odd. Brunswick just flat out sucks

the drillings on your balls is the determining factor. the placement of the pin to your pap is a bid deal on how the ball rolls and reacts. I have both your balls the pure and the wild thing. The fact is your wild thing has the longer pin to pap placement which is why it seems weaker than the pure. the pure however is a very versitile ball and can handle heavy or light oil depending on release.
My two balls are very similiar in drilling. Both are stacked leveraged on the left side(I'm a lefty) one is up and the other is down. my pure is the up pin drill and the wild thing is down drill. the main difference with these two is the wildthing picks up a touch sooner on the lane before it snaps to the pocket. The pure I can aim down lane and through strait there before it just changes direction and goes to the pocket. the pure is close to a skid/snap ball and the wild thing is similiar but has midlane move added.
