I got to the lanes yesterday morning. They had a fresh THS shot out which was a surprise. I don't bowl league at this house anymore so I'm not totally familiar with the shot, but I did bowl there last year and I imagine it hasn't changed much.
The Resurgence is A LOT of ball. It was very clean up front. It was super-strong in the midlane, and made a strong yet smooth move to the pocket. The continuation is what really caught my eye...it just never stopped as long as I came around the ball a bit. I have almost no axis tilt and not a whole lot of axis rotation. On the THS I was playing 17 at the arrows to 7-8 at the breakpoint. My normal release doesn't allow me to bring a ball back from much deeper. I did throw a few out farther than that, but the ball used up too much energy trying to make it back. I also had to stay pretty firm with my speed. Honestly, I wouldn't use it on this shot if I saw it regularly...not enough oil.
I threw my Yeah Baby! and WCR on the same line to get a brief comparison. Both balls went significantly longer...the Resurgence read the mids much better. The Yeah Baby! had about the same amount of backend but since it pushed longer it was leaving 2-10 combos. The WCR went longer yet with a bit more backend than the YB. From the line I was playing, the WCR was also very light, sometimes not even making it all the way back. They all have "lowerish" pins and different cover prep. I only bowled 4 games, so take any of this with a grain of salt. Below I posted a video I shot early last year so you can get an idea of my game, although I will say it has changed quite a bit from then. Sorry about the quality.
