Just threw my resurgence for the first night
« on: September 04, 2007, 01:17:32 PM »
Just picked up my resurgence today. I threw it like 5 games practice and my 3 league games. I have it drilled pin below the ring finger. I throw about 16.5 mph and have medium revs. I was throwing it from about 23 to 13 at the arrows and about 5 at the break point. Heres my problem. i love the way this ball hooks except it hooks a little late sometimes. If I get a little hard with my speed like even the slightest bit it will take to long to snap back resulting in getting behind the head pin and a 10 pin. So my question is should I change the surface or leave it like it is and just see if it changes. I left probably at least 12 10 pins in my league tonight. Being in the pocket most of the night and only shot 574.

Will burning up cause me to get behind the head pin because I know I was leaving them from getting in behind the head pin.

That sounds about right.  The Resurgance looks to be quite strong and comes dull OOB.  Trying to cover a lot of boards with it (especially on a house shot with dry area near the gutter) seems counter-productive as burn-up is likely.

Sorry I don't know about that.  Someone else will have to answer that.

I do not like the drilling you put on the ball.. I have mine drilled as the drill sheet recommends (pin above the ring, cg in the palm area) and this ball is a monster...

I have left very few 10 pins left at all as this ball is very continuous through the pins with the layout I used..

I have the same drilling but for me it is 4 1/2 pin to pap, the ball is probably pooped out by the time it recovers. Basically known as DOA at the pocket, next time out throw your step down ball and see if reacts better.

You will need at least medium oil and then chasing the oil line inward, the cover is the strongest i have seen in a long time. Reminds me of the Super carbide Bomb when it was newer about 4 years ago, the SCB was less clean through the fronts though.
