Title: Light Oil Ball

Im lookin for a ball that will deal with dry heads/light oil better than my hammer sharp blade or track rule.  I've been readin reviews but no one seems to have a favorite ball for the light oil.  Any suggestions???

well this all depends on what you consider light oil.  track rule is a heavy oil ball, so it doesn't take much to get a much weaker ball than that.  Personally I'm using a Wild for when my other stuff isn't working right.  thats after a Wired and a X-factor deuce.  the ball is drilled weird so it actually rolls up soon for a polished ball and breaks into a roll.  ive got a Slate Blue Gargoyle comming for when the lanes are completely toasted (polished Urethane).  I'm not sure how much the Hammer Sharp Blade is supposed to hook so
I can't really tell you your ideal ball but, assuming its just a step down from the rule, i would think that maybe a messinger of some type or one of the weaker flipside balls.  thats just a guess.  anyway, hope this helps in your decision.

If you want a light-oil columbia ball, you can't go wrong with a Scout Reactive or Wicked polished up a bit.  They're great balls that save a lot of energy for the backend on lighter or drier conditions.  Another great alternative is the Brunswick Power Groove Reactive polished up a tad.  Skates awesome through the drier heads and packs a punch at the pins.

If you want to stick with Columbia the Flipside Fear is their best lighter condition ball from what I have seen.
If open to others myself and may others think very highly of the Sonic series from Roto Grip.
I have both the Boom and Solid and they are GREAT on drier conditions.
I like the Boom a bit better though due to more length and backend.

If you get caught in the Storm Track beware it could be a Typhoon or Monsoon with Rolling Thunder and Lightning Flashes that when Unleashed may send splintered Wood flying everywhere.
